::
The volume offers a reasoned and complete bibliographic review on the humanist Giovanni Aurispa, expanded with biographical notes, citations and critical texts taken by the authors who have dealt with him, from Remigio Sabbadini to the scholars who have been interested in him in the last century. This is how the work of the illustrious Netino is reconstructed to highlight the contribution that, thanks to the many manuscripts reported largely from his travels to Greece, he gave to Italian Humanism and to understand his relationships with other humanists. Great attention is paid to the rediscovery of Greek and there are also interesting insights into Aurispa's personality and some curiosities. The text is enriched by the preface by the Greek scholar and mycenologist Michele R. Cataudella, by a footnote and an iconographic note by the philologist Augusto Guida and by the afterword by the historian Giuseppe Mariotta.
